Atlasouna

Atlasouna, meaning « our Atlas » in Arabic, is a project that explores the intersection of collective imagination and aesthetic political consciousness between two civilizations.

It seeks to rewrite Mediterranean history through shared myths, poetry, ink, and blood. Inspired by the mythological figure Atlas, who bears the weight of the celestial vault, the project highlights the separation of sea and desert as a means of observation, dialogue, and the cultivation of love.

It questions why societies struggle to grasp the concept of distant hospitality as depicted in myths, and aims to reestablish connections between Morocco and Greece two nations grappling with the human problem of borders. Through aesthetic discourse, the project aspires to bridge perspectives, reveal hidden truths, and imagine a territory beyond politics, a « nationalism of the sun. »
